           In this blog I have shared some memories of academic as well as nonacademic events of department of English which we have celebrated in October, 2016.

     1)   Talk on film appreciation workshop: 5^th October

          

         Ami Sojitra has attended a Film appreciation workshop. She shared her experience with students.

     2)   SCOPE CPT & BULATS Online Test: 3^rd and 4^th October

         Students of Department of English appeared for SCOPE Online Tests CPT (Cambridge Placement Test) & BULATS (Business Language Testing Service) on 3^rd and 4^th October.

    3)   Navratri Celebration: 7^th October

 

        On 7^th October students of Department of English have celebrated Navratri festival.

   4)   Guest lecturers of Prof. Jay Mehta: 8^th, 9^th and 10^th October.

        Prof. Jay Mehta has discussed short stories of Edgar Allan Poe in semester 3. He also talked about GPSC, GSET, and Net Exam Preparations.

    5)     Ph.D public defense – Mr. Jay Mehta: 15^th October

       

        On 14^th September 2016, Ph.D Viva of Mr. Jay Mehta took place at the New Court Hall of Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University. Under the guidance of Dr. Dilip Barad (HOD, Depatment of English MKBU), Mr. Jay Mehta has successfully completed her Doctorate degree in “A Comparative Psychological Exploration of Select Short Stories of Edgar Allan Poe, Anton Chekhov and Dr. Jayant Khatri”.

     6)   Youth Festival: 20 to 22 October
